Naturally, you might have some questions related to our services. We have attempted to answer the most common questions that we often receive below in an effort to ease any concerns that you might have about Learn EzeeZulu with Mpumie.

As with the rest of the country (and the world) we have had to adjust our approach accordingly. We therefore now offer ALL services and classes via online means, making use of video conferencing software such as Zoom, Skype, Whatsapp video and/or whatever best suits our students.
We have already begun using this approach and thus far it has proven to be very effective and has broadened our reach to teach students not only all around South Africa – but around the world too. So contact us today no matter where you are, and we can work something out that suits you!.
As mentioned in the above question, we have been forced to adjust to online learning methods using video conferencing software such as Zoom, Skype and Whatsapp video. This has proven to be very effective during lock down and will no doubt continue being offered once life is back to normal, thus making our service available to a global audience.

Anything is possible, however we highly recommend making use of a teacher who is able to assist you with so much more than simply learning the language. isiZulu is an extremely expressive language and we feel that understanding the Zulu culture and its people better will result in you achieving so much more than simply learning the language. After all, our mission is to bridge the gap between cultures, by using language as a tool to achieve this.
Each student will vary in terms of how quickly and easily they are able to learn and understand isiZulu. The key is to realize that it is not a race and anyone who puts their mind to it will be able to speak the language in their own time.
Having said this, our beginner isiZulu programme which takes about 40 hours, should have you in a position whereby you are able to greet someone, introduce yourself and strike up a very basic conversation.
As with any language, it is ESSENTIAL that one understands the intricacies of isiZulu, such as the make-up of words, phrases and sayings, in order to fully comprehend the language. Therefore we definitely do include all aspects of isiZulu, such as pronunciation, elocution, spelling and reading.
isiZulu is understood by over 50% of South Africans and is the chosen 1st language of almost a quarter of the population. Apart from its rich and diverse cultural offering – isiZulu is the most spoken language in Southern Africa and for this reason we highly recommend learning the language so as to be able to engage with as many native South Africans in their own language as possible.
